He gained worldwide fame as the drummer for the Beatles, and in 2011, Rolling Stone readers named Starr the fifth-greatest drummer of all time. Starr, who was previously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a Beatle in 1988, was inducted for his solo career in 2015, making him one of 21 performers inducted more than once. He had a few screen roles in the movies made by The Beatles, plus a few others including: Caveman, The Magic Christian, and Alice in Wonderland. As of 2021, he is still alive at the age of 80! Our consignor had a friend who saw Ringo Starr in Hollywood in 1972, and Mr. Starr kindly signed the back of this small photo. She does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we are certain the signature is authentic.
