An Original Vintage Linenbacked World War II Poster (measures 20 1/4" x 28" [51 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) Bits of Careless Talk are Pieced Together by the Enemy, the 1943 U.S. World War II (WWII) Home Front poster ("Convoy sails for England tonight") encouraging people to safeguard sensitive information, and featuring Stevan Dohanos art of a Nazi hand (with a swastika ring) placing the final piece of a jigsaw puzzle which reveals the time and location of a convoy. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Stevan Dohanos Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had fine surface paper loss on parts of the folds and some scuffs in the top and bottom solid colored areas. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking.
