Remember he's on your side"; "The last law in a world gone out of control. Pray that he's out there somewhere."; "Music by Brian May"; "Written by James McCausland and George Miller") starring Mel Gibson (in the title role as Mad Max Rockatansky), Joanne Samuel, Hugh Keays-Byrne (as Toecutter), Steve Bisley, Tim Burns, and Roger Ward NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Bill Garland Important Added Info: Note that lobby cards from this classic movie are incredibly more rare than the corresponding one-sheets. Also note that this set of lobby cards has a GAU union logo in the right of the bottom border on each card. It was recently discovered that there are 1983 re-release one-sheets that have a "GCIU" union logo at the bottom. Since GCIU didn't begin until late 1982, we know that those posters are from the 1983 re-release which makes further sense because there was a major 1983 re-release (after the huge success of the sequel, "The Road Warrior"), but we had never seen posters dated 1983, and it seems certain that they reused the same plates from the 1979 release, and only the union logo changed. We don't know at this time if there were also 1983 re-release lobby cards, but we will keep our eyes open and inspect all future Mad Max lobby cards we receive to determine if any are from the re-release. The cards offered here are definitely from the original 1980 release! Condition: very good. Each card has a small, minor crease at upper center and some faint smudges in the black areas at bottom. They are otherwise in pretty nice condition and they have no tape whatsoever on the front or back, and they never have had any restoration of any kind! Learn More about condition grades
