(more commonly known as MLJ Comics), during the 1930s and 1940s period known as the Golden Age of Comic Books. Prior to issue #28, it was known as Top-Notch Comics. It was first re-titled Top-Notch Laugh Comics ("We DARED to do it!! A joke book that's really funny!"), and then it was again re-titled Laugh Comix in 1944 before being canceled shortly after.
