An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) James Oliver Curwood's Trail of the Yukon, the 1949 William X. Crowley canine dog Canadian Royal Mounted Police Mounties adventure thriller ("Suggested by 'The Gold Hunters' by James Oliver Curwood") starring Kirby Grant, Suzanne Dalbert, Bill Edwards, Iris Adrian, Dan Seymour, and Chinook ("The Wonder Dog"). Note that Chinook the Wonder Dog was a white dog that looked like a cross between a Siberian Husky and a German Shepherd, and he appeared in ten movies between 1949 and 1954, all set in the Yukon. We were unable to find out why Chinook's career ended so suddenly, but perhaps he had substance abuse problems or some other problem! If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had creases, tears, tiny paper loss, and stains around the edges, with some smudges in the yellow background area. It had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some tiny bits of paper loss on parts of some folds. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
