Important Added Info: Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Also note that this lobby card has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the lobby card was backed onto a very light paper backing (acid-free), that keeps the "feel" of the lobby card similar to that of the original lobby card. Some restorers prefer to paperback lobby cards on to a heavy backing, while others prefer to use a very lightweight backing. The advantage of a lightweight backing is that the card still "feels" like a regular lobby card, but a heavier backing makes restoration easier to do and less noticeable. What IS paperbacking? Prior to paperbacking, the card had been trimmed to 8" x 10" by cutting an equal amount off the left and right of the card and cutting across the bottom near the top of the title. Fortunately, the person who trimmed the 8" x 10" portion out kept the rest of the card, and that area has been reconnected to the 8" x 10" area, so it is once again a complete card. However, the card also had some stains and smudges scattered throughout. Overall, the lobby card was in poor to fair condition prior to paperbacking. You can see where the trimming was, and you can also see the stains and smudges and the restoration paint, so bear all this in mind before bidding. Learn More about condition grades
