Artist: Eric Rohman Important Added Info: Note that we can't say for certain that this poster is from this movie. But we can't match this poster to any movie for certain, and "Ridgeway of Montana" is a Jack Hoxie movie, and this poster has "Montana" in the title, so it seems likely (also, someone wrote "Ridgeway of Montana" in the left of the bottom border, so that is yet another clue!). But there is a greater mystery, which is that Frank Mayo has a large credit over Jack Hoxie, which was overprinted with black! Yet Mayo and Hoxie were never in a movie together. Perhaps Mayo was replaced in the cast, or perhaps the poster artist simply got the wrong name! If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. What IS linenbacking? The poster had a credit for Frank Mayo that was overprinted (we have a feeling all examples of this poster would be like this). It had tiny paper loss and some creases and small tears on parts of some foldlines and some tiny tears and creases around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was backed onto a thin linen with no excess and no restoration (see our image).
