An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) The Harlem Globetrotters, the 1951 Phil Brown black African American basketball sports comedy ("Razzle dazzle!"; "The miracle men of sports in a full length fun-filled hit!"; "They're Champs! They're Scamps") starring Thomas Gomez, Dorothy Dandridge, Bill Walker, Peter M. Thompson, Ann E. Allen, and the Harlem Globetrotters (including Billy Brown, Roscoe Cumberland, William 'Pop' Gates, Marques Haynes, Louis 'Babe' Pressley, Ermer Robinson, Ted Strong, and Reese 'Goose' Tatum) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had very minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were well restored, OR it had some minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster had creases and small tears along the foldlines and small paper loss at the crossfolds. The poster had missing pieces and tears in the blank borders, and the person who did the restoration put new blank white paper over all the borders to even out the appearance (but the small writing at the bottom of the poster was not covered over). This is a common technique used by several top restorers. Overall, the poster looks nice, and the restoration is only noticeable from inches away. Learn More about condition grades
