An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Japanese "B2" Movie Poster (measures 20 1/4" x 28 5/8" [51 x 73 cm]) (Learn More)

Ningen no Joken (released in English-speaking countries as "The Human Condition" and "Human Condition I: No Greater Love"), the 1959 Masaki Kobayashi Japanese historical World War II (WWII) soldier military action conscientious objector thriller melodrama starring Tatsuya Nakadai, Michiyo Aratama, Chiakage Awashima, Ineko Arima, and Keiji Sada. Note that this was the first movie a series of three films about a Japanese pacifist as he tries to get through World War II
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this is very rare poster. We have never before auctioned this studio-issued version before (we auctioned the "local city" version in 2021 and it sold for $296!). Note also that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good. The poster has a few tears and stains around the edges and some of the tears (and small paper loss) along portions of the left edge have been backed with tape and amateur restoration was performed. There are some creases in the woman's face at upper right as well as the man's chin, and amateur restoration was also performed to those areas. The poster is otherwise "all there" and after proper restoration the poster will display well, but bear in mind the very rare poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
