An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Style B One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Darryl F. Zanucks Brigham Young, the 1940 Henry Hathaway historical Mormon religious biographical western adventure melodrama ("The great American motion picture!"; a highly fictionalized account of the founders of Mormonism and their travel to and settling in Salt Lake City, Utah) starring Tyrone Power Jr., Linda Darnell, Dean Jagger (in the title role "as Brigham Young"), Brian Donlevy, John Carradine, Mary Astor, Vincent Price (as Joseph Smith), Jean Rogers, Ann E. Todd, Dickie Jones, Tully Marshall, Jane Darwell, and Fuzzy Knight NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some very minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). Note that we gave this condition grade to a very few posters that were in pretty good condition prior to linenbacking, but which were not all that well linenbacked, and which could be fairly easily re-backed with only minor additional restoration. The poster had tiny paper loss at each crossfold and there was a piece of tape on the back of each crossfold. There were creases along most foldlines and pinholes, creases, tears, and tape bleed-through around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects when you look closely at the poster. Learn More about condition grades
