An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked French One-Panel Movie Poster (measures 45 1/2" x 61 1/2"; known as a 'grande' poster in France) (Learn More)

Pierrot Le Fou (released in the U.S. in 1969 as "Crazy Pete" and "Pierrot Goes Wild"), the 1965 Jean-Luc Godard French/Italian romantic love triangle crime fugitive melodrama (about a man whose wife hires a babysitter, and he impulsively runs off with her while driving her home, and they get mixed up in gun running, and end up on the run from the police and criminals) starring Jean-Paul Belmondo (in the title role), Anna Karina (director Godard's wife at the time this movie was made, one of many movies she made with him!), Graziella Galvani, Samuel Fuller (as himself), Jean-Pierre Leaud, and Dirk Sanders

Important Added Info: Note that this is a rare "country of origin" poster for this French movie! Also note that this French one-panel measures 45 1/2" x 61 1/2".

Condition: very good. The poster had creases, smudges, and some separation on several foldlines and tiny paper loss at some crossfolds. There were some smudges in the solid colored areas and some minor border defects. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but for unknown reasons, the restorer did not touch up a slight area of paper loss in the bottom of the vertical foldline, mostly in the second "r" of "Pierrot". It would be a simple matter for any restorer to touch up this area without re-backing the poster, after which the poster will display nicely.
