Important Added Info: Note that this lobby card has been personally autographed (signed) by Dick Foran! Our consignor was one of the earliest Oklahoma collectors of movie memorabilia and comic books, and he attended the many shows held in Oklahoma and Texas in the late 1960s and 1970s, and those shows had many guest stars, and this is one of the items that he had signed in person at one of those shows. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we are 100% certain the signature is authentic.

This was printed by Associated Displays Corporation which was a company based in New York City. Before it was discovered by noted poster dealer/historian Walter Reuben, collectors did not know the name of this company (and thought it to be located in the Midwest), and it is often referred to as the "other company" (and we will continue to refer to it that way, since collectors know it that way). From 1936 to roughly 1941, this company printed its own one-sheets and lobby card sets (and a very few inserts, half-sheets, three-sheets, 40x60s and stills) for three major studio movies (Warner Brothers, Paramount and United Artists, but no other studios). The items almost always feature a tiny legal disclaimer and cast credits only. The posters and lobby cards are from the original release of the movie, and almost always have completely different artwork from the regular studio release. They did this by combining elements from different film scenes onto one poster or card. Sometimes, "other company" posters have images that are the equal of those from the regular studio release posters. Note that this lobby card has been personally autographed (signed) by Dick Foran! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased (although we prefer they do any "authenticating" while the auction is "live" and before they place a bid) and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes.
