An Original 1959 (from the first release of this movie in Italy) Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Italian One-Panel (known in Italy as a "2 Fogli") Movie Poster (1p; measures 39" x 55" [99 x 140 cm]) (Learn More) Jungle Jim In the Forbidden Land, the 1951 Lew Landers fantasy jungle action adventure thriller ("Based upon the famous Jungle Jim King Features Syndicate newspaper feature"; "Million-year-old monsters run amok in Jungle Jim's giant roundup!"; "Kidnapped by missing-link giants out of the cave-man age!"; "Kidnapped by million-year-old giants!") starring Johnny Weissmuller (in the title role as Jungle Jim; the 1924 Olympic swimming champion who is best remembered for playing Tarzan and for his role in this series of movies), Angela Greene, Jean Willes, Lester Matthews, and Tamba ("The Talented Chimp"). In this movie, Jungle Jim encounters "giant people" in a "forbidden land". Actually, the "giant people" were just "very tall people", and greatly resemble the "manimals" from "Island of Lost Souls". If anyone has seen this movie, and can give us more information about it, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that it is difficult to accurately date Italian posters, and some unmarked re-release posters can be extremely difficult to distinguish from first releases, so please bear that in mind before you place a bid. We used our best information to date this poster, but we can't always guarantee that the Italian posters we sell are not from an unmarked re-release, but this will only prove to be true in a very tiny number of cases.
