He's English-born, with his father a born in Kenya of Gujarati Indian descent, and his mother English. Some of his many great movies include: Gandhi (winner of the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Betrayal, Bugsy (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Searching for Bobby Fischer, Sneakers, Schindler's List, House of Sand and Fog (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Sexy Beast (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), and he was recently the voice of Bagheera in the 2016 version of The Jungle Book. As of 2021, Kinglsey is still alive at the age of 77! Important Added Info: Note that this REPRODUCTION still has been personally autographed (signed) by Ben Kingsley! Our consignor obtained the autograph in person at the Archlight Theatre on April 11, 2002. Note that this signed item was consigned to us by a man who worked in the movie business, and who attended many premieres and special Hollywood events. When he would go to them, he would bring repro 8x10s (or other items that he happened to have that were related to stars he knew would be in attendance), and get them autographed in person.
