Original Vintage Lobby Card (Measures 11" x 14") (Learn More)

Breed of the Sea, the 1926 Ralph Ince silent seafaring tropical island romantic love triangle family relationship brothers melodrama ("Peter B. Kyne's Great Story"; produced by Joseph P. Kennedy) starring Ralph Ince, Margaret Livingston (best remembered as the "bad" woman of "Sunrise"), Pat Harmon, Alphonse Ethier, and Dorothy Dunbar. Note that producer Joseph P. Kennedy was of course the father of Joe, John, Bobby, and Teddy Kennedy, and had a well publicized love affair with Gloria Swanson for many years!

Important Added Info: Note that this is a hand-colored card. In the days of silent film prior to the invention of good quality full-color printing, studios would have lobby cards printed in black and white and then amazingly would hire women to hand-color the cards one at a time (apparently labor was very cheap at the time)! So, each card is colored slightly differently, and the coloring is never a perfect match.

Condition: very good. There is a crease in the center of the right edge of the image (extends into Livingston's hair). There are a few tack holes in the blank borders. The upper left blank border is slightly stained.
