An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Alf's Button Afloat, the 1938 Marcel Varnel English fantasy comedy (based on the play, "Alf's Button", by W.A. Darlington) starring "The Crazy Gang" (we don't know what that means, but it is on the advertising!) Jimmy Nervo, Teddy Knox (Nervo & Knox), Bud Flanagan, Chesney Allen (Flanagan & Allen), Charlie Naughton, Jimmy Gold (Naughton & Gold), and Alastair Sim. Apparently, this is a completely forgotten fantasy movie, but it has an intriguing plot! Aladdin's lamp is melted down and part of it ends up as a button on a military uniform. The man who gets that uniform polishes the button, and a genie appears who grants his every wish! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline).
