An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie 8" x 11" [20 x 28 cm] Key Book Still (Learn More) Broadway Melody of 1940, the 1940 Norman Taurog New York musical ("Together at last in the most eye-staggering musical spectacle ever staged!"; "The World's Greatest Dancers in the World's Greatest Musical!") starring Fred Astaire, Eleanor Powell, George Murphy, Frank Morgan, Ian Hunter, Florence Rice, and Lynne Carver. Note that Fred Astaire made movies at RKO and Eleanor Powell made movies at MGM, so they could never appear together, but in 1940, when Astaire moved over to MGM, they could finally be paired (hence the tagline "Together at last..."). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still is a key book still that measures 8" x 10", printed on a heavy paper, with three punch holes in the left. Many studios spent extra money to have their most special photos, the key book stills, either backed with linen or printed on a heavy paper, both of which enhanced their durability. They had punch holes, because of how they were stored. Key book stills are far more rare than regular stills, which has increased their popularity among collectors, since only a few keybooks were manufactured per film, and a key book still is guaranteed to be authentic. Condition: good to very good. There are three punch holes in the left border (see above). There is light staining in the top center and light rippling around the edges due to exposure to moisture.
