An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Argentinean Movie Poster (measures approximately 29" x 43") (Learn More) Courage of Lassie, the 1946 Fred M. Wilcox canine Collie dog family melodrama sequel (written by Lionel Houser) starring Elizabeth Taylor, Frank Morgan, Tom Drake, Lassie ("Lassie in a new adventure"), Selena Royle, Harry Davenport, George Cleveland, Catherine McLeod, Morris Ankrum, William Wallace, Minor Watson, and Carl 'Alfalfa' Switzer. Note that Elizabeth Taylor had been 7th billed in "Lassie Come Home" in 1943, and had otherwise only had three uncredited roles, but "National Velvet" in 1945 made her a major star, and so she was top billed in this sequel to "Lassie Come Home" made the following year. Important Added Info: This Argentinean poster measures approximately 29" x 43" and is linenbacked. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had very minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds, wear along the foldlines and some minor border defects. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking.
