32e Festival International Du Film Cannes 1979 (Cannes Film Festival 1979) was a film festival held in Cannes, France from May 10th to the 24th. The Palme d'Or went to Apocalypse Now by Francis Ford Coppola (which was screened as a work in progress) and Die Blechtrommel (The Tin Drum) by Volker Schlondorff. Francoise Sagan, the President of the Jury, caused a controversy when she complained that Robert Favre Le Bret, the President of the Festival, had stepped out of his role and put pressure on the jury for the choice of Coppola's film.

Important Added Info: Note that this is a rare "country of origin" poster for this French movie!

Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It had some creases and scuffs scattered in the image with a few tiny tears. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, and the linenbacking lessened how noticeable the creases and scuffs are, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
