An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Pressbook (measures 11" x 17"; 24 pages) (Learn More)

The Sundowners, the 1950 George Templeton Texas family relationship brother-against-brother cattle rustling cowboy western ("They took what they wanted - with a gun, a whip... Or a kiss.") starring Robert Preston, Chill Wills, Robert Sterling, Cathy Downs, John Litel, and John Drew Barrymore (billed as "introducing John Barrymore Jr."; in his first film). Note that this movie is not related to the 1961 Fred Zinnemann English/Australian movie about Australians who travel that continent working on sheep ranches.

Important Added Info: Note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of the pressbook, plus an image of any supplements or heralds (if there are any included with this pressbook), but of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are selling (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Also note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners purchased pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut!

Condition: very good to fine. Note that this pressbook was folded across the center at one time. Because of this, this pressbook can be sent in one of our standard size packages (if it is purchased together with pressbooks that can NOT be folded, then it will of course have to be sent in one of our oversized packages). But if this pressbook is purchased by itself (or solely with other pressbooks that can be folded), then the shipping will be much lower, because it fits in a standard package.
