She was a "sex kitten", and was as popular in France as Marilyn Monroe was in the U.S.! She is best known for her roles in And God Created Woman, Le Mepris, Masculin Feminin: 15 Faits Precis, La Verite, and Viva Maria! In the 1970s, she retired and has not made a movie since, but she is very active in animal rights causes and charities. As of 2024, she is still alive at the age of 88! Important Added Info: Note that this really cool English magazine is filled with rare images of Brigitte Bardot (some topless), many of which we have not seen before. It also has quotes from the directors she worked with and a filmography, which ends with 1962's "A Very Private Affair", and says Le Mepris is "to come", which indicates that the book was prepared in early 1963, even though it has a 1964 copyright. Note that we have provided a picture of the front cover of the magazine, and pictures of interior two-page spreads. Note that this magazine contains unclothed women, so we have placed white bars over those areas, for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual magazine does not have those white bars! Condition: good to very good. There are stains around the edges of the covers and minor wear to a few interior pages (see our images).
