What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair. The poster had small paper loss at some crossfolds and some creases, tears, and tiny paper loss on parts of some folds. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but, unfortunately, after it was backed, it sustained considerable damage to the borders near the bottom of the poster and somewhat in some other parts of the borders. Most of this was in the blank borders, but there is now staining over the word "FRANKIE" at lower left. There is also some staining on the back of the linen. Obviously, one could have the poster removed from the linen and re-backed, but consider all of this before bidding. Learn More about condition grades
