An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Lady Godiva (released in other English-speaking countries as "Lady Godiva of Coventry"), the 1955 Arthur Lubin historical re-telling of the classic fable ("The first startling story of the world's most famous ride!"; about a Saxon English lady, who, as punishment for her militant views, is forced to ride through her town on a horse completely naked!; this movie gives a fictional account of what led up to that famous ride; unfortunately, due to the standards of 1955, Maureen O'Hara is given so much hair as to be basically clothed!) starring Maureen O'Hara (in the title role as Lady Godiva), George Nader, Victor McLaglen, Rex Reason, Torin Thatcher, Eduard Franz, and Arthur Shields NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had slight darkening on the folds, with minor fold wear. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking.
