Rolling Thunder, the 1977 John Flynn AIP post-Vietnam War military veteran crime revenge thriller ("Major Charles Rane has come home to war!"; "Another shattering experience from the author of 'Taxi Driver'."; with a screenplay by Paul Schrader and Heywood Gould) starring William Devane (as Major Charles Rane), Tommy Lee Jones (in an early major role!), Linda Haynes, James Best, Dabney Coleman, and Lisa Blake Richards. Note that this movie was originally to be released by 20th Century-Fox, but after they deemed the movie too violent, the movie was sold to American International Pictures, and some original release posters and lobby cards from this movie were printed before AIP bought the rights.
