Date Sold 1/16/2024 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 11 Original Vintage 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Stills (Learn More) Stag, the "men's" magazine first published in December 1949. It was sort of a low-budget forerunner of Playboy, with stories aimed at "manly men" about action and adventure, but each issue would also have images of sexy girls and some sexy stories as well. Interestingly, it was published by Martin Goodman, who was also the owner of Marvel Comics, and is likely best remembered for hiring his wife's cousin, Stan Lee (Lieber)! Important Added Info: Note that each of these stills has the word GALAXY stamped on the back. A number of them have a stamp from Stag magazine with an indication that they were used in an October issue of that magazine in a story called "The Golden Ghost". We would think that they are from an issue in the 1960s. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also, note that this item contains some nudity, so we have placed a white bar over those areas for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual item does not have the white bars.
