An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm] Movie Still (Learn More)

The Asphalt Jungle, the classic 1950 John Huston (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) crime film noir ("MGM presents the story of the city under the city."; "From a novel by W.R. Burnett"; about a "perfect robbery" with a team of top professionals, but of course, everything unravels, partially through double-crosses; perhaps the best movie of its kind!) starring Sterling Hayden, Louis Calhern, Jean Hagen, James Whitmore, Sam Jaffe (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), John McIntire, Marilyn Monroe, Marc Lawrence, Barry Kelley, Anthony Caruso, Teresa Celli, Brad Dexter, Don Haggerty, and Daniel Clarke

Important Added Info: Note that this still has no printing in the bottom blank border. The movie was quickly re-released in 1954, but the stills from that re-release have NSS information and the title of the movie printed in the bottom border. Some of the stills from the first release in 1950 have NSS information in the bottom, but several others are blank in the bottom, as this one is. Therefore, we feel certain that this still is surely from 1950 and not from 1954. Finally, note that we have previously auctioned five different stills of Marilyn in this black dress that were both clearly from this same photo session, and all sold for over $100!

Condition: very good to fine. There are some tiny creases in parts of the blank borders, but the still is otherwise in nice condition!
