A 1948 Re-Release Theatrical Movie Lobby Card #7 (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

The Mummy's Ghost, the 1944 Reginald Le Borg Universal Egypt monster horror thriller sequel ("No chains can hold it! No tomb can seal it!"; "Nameless! Fleshless! Deathless!"; "All new terror!") starring Lon Chaney Jr. (reprising his role "as Kharis, The Mummy"), John Carradine, Ramsay Ames, Barton MacLane, George Zucco, Robert Lowery, Claire Whitney, Frank Reicher, Emmett Vogan, Harry Shannon, and Oscar O'Shea. Note that when Realart re-released all of the classic Universal monster movies starting in the late 1940s, they also re-released this movie, which was one of the very last of the original cycle of monster movies, and that Realart re-release was just four years after the first release!

Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned two examples of this lobby card, which has a great close up of the monster, and only one example in the last 10 years! The buyer of that last card has now reconsigned it to us, so we have still only previously auctioned two other examples of this card. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: very good. The card had a 2" semi-circular tear in the right of the top border, extending into the top of the background. It had small paper loss in the top left corner, and creases and tiny paper loss in the top right corner. It had paper loss in the bottom right corner touching the bottom of the small writing. Someone performed restoration to the above areas without backing the card (it would have graded "good to very good" had it not been restored). At some point after the card was restored, it acquired small surface paper loss in the bottom right corner of the image, entering into the white border by it. The card displays well as it is, or certainly, one could have that small surface paper loss repaired.
