Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned three examples of this title card, and the last one was 6 years ago, when it sold for $954! What an amazing title card! Look at all of the legendary black African-American performers pictured in just 11" x 14". Surely, this card is a "Holy Grail" for any collector of black African-American lobby cards! Note that this lobby card has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the lobby card was backed onto a heavy paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original lobby card (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards, and lobby cards. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. What IS paperbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. Prior to paperbacking, the card's left, right, and top borders were trimmed off, very slightly entering the background. The card also had some scuffs and smudges scattered in the image.
