H.G. Wells' The War of the Worlds, the classic 1953 Byron Haskin science fiction (sci-fi) Martian extraterrestrial alien invasion action thriller ("From the ends of the universe... they are reaching for YOU!"; produced by George Pal; loosely based on the classic novel by H.G. Wells; about seemingly unstoppable aliens invading the Earth) starring Gene Barry, Ann Robinson, Les Tremayne, Robert Cornthwaite, Lewis Martin, and Ann Codee

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Also note that this Italian photobusta measures 26 1/2" x 37 3/4".

Condition: good. Someone put masking tape across the back of the horizontal fold and across the back of the top and bottom borders. The masking tape on the back of the middle of the poster has hardened somewhat over the years, and so the poster does not lay completely flat. There are many creases along both foldlines, and there were many tiny tears in the vertical foldline, and someone did slight amateur touch up to those areas, but it was not very well done. There were some small tears in the lower part of the right border and someone put a 7" piece of masking tape on the back of that and there was a 1" tear in the lower left border (at the top of the dark background area), and someone put a piece of tape on the back of that. There are many creases and scuffs throughout the image, but they are not nearly as noticeable as those along the folds. There are many creases and some tiny tears around the edges of the poster. While this poster does have many very clear defects, it also has a really great image, and I have no doubt it is well worth restoring! A top restorer can surely remove the tape from the back, paperback or linenback the poster, and then perform expert restoration throughout. The poster WILL absolutely require a fair amount of paint restoration, more so along the foldlines, so PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THIS POSTER UNLESS YOU HAVE CAREFULLY READ THE ABOVE AND CAREFULLY LOOKED AT OUR SUPER-SIZED IMAGE. I am sure that after really expert restoration, this poster will look fantastic, but please do not use wishful thinking when bidding on this poster!
