An Autographed 3" x 5" [8 x 13 cm] Index Card (Learn More) Ed Asner (Edward Asner) was an actor from the 1950s to the 2020s. While he has appeared in several movies over the years, he is best remembered for his role as Lou Grant on TV's "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" (and later, the serious spin-off show, "Lou Grant", where he played the same character in an entirely different setting). Unlike most actors, who drastically slow down or retire in their 80s, Asner remained very active, including voicing the lead role in Pixar's Up, and having a significant role in the YouTube/Netflix hit show, Cobra Kai. He passed away in 2021 at the age of 91. Important Added Info: This index card has been personally autographed (signed) by Edward Asner! The index card could be matted with a vintage or repro still and framed together to make a cool display! Also note that the item comes with a "certificate of authenticity" from James Spence Authentication. The consignor of this autographed item (and a large number of other signed items in this auction) is a longtime autograph collector who does not have a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) for this item, but he feels certain it is genuine. Many of the items he has consigned were purchased from an autograph store that was going out of business when the owner retired, and many of the items he has consigned to this set of auctions come from this purchase.
