Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss on parts of the folds. It had a fine diagonal razor cut running from the lower part of the "D" of "DIX" down through Dix's hair and into his forehead, where there was a 1" horizontal cut. There were also several small holes in Dix's nose, cheek, and upper lip, and in the background to the left of that. There was a 3" horizontal tear in Dix's shoulder and some pinholes, tears, and paper loss around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. A talented restorer did a really nice job linenbacking the poster, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
