A Linenbacked French Advertising Poster (measures 15" x 22 3/4" [38 x 58 cm]) (Learn More) Habillements Pour Jeunes Gens et Enfants (literally translates to "Apparel for Children and Young People"), the circa 1940s French clothing advertising poster featuring art of a young boy wearing short pants and long stockings in the snow about to throw a snowball. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded. It had enlarged pinholes in the left and right of the top red border and some minor wear around the edges. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, but at some point after it was backed, it acquired a light brown stain in the lower left border and in the left and right of the bottom borders (see our image).
