An Original Vintage Magazine (measures 8 1/2" x 11 1/2" [22 x 29 cm]) (Learn More) Screenland ("The Smart Screen Magazine", "America's Smart Screen Magazine"; "Made where the Movies are made"), one of the many movie magazines sold to the public. Each issue features a great full color cover of a leading star of the day, plus lots of interior publicity stories about current stars and movies with many black and white images throughout. Also, in every issue are many wonderful vintage ads, in black and white, and sometimes the ads can be just as much fun as the original stories and pictures. Of course, some of the ads are from movies that were about to open, and in the early days of eBay, people would remove those full-page ads and auction them by themselves, and they would often sell for $10, $20, or more, just for a single movie ad removed from a magazine just like this! Note that at some point in the very early 1920s, the publishers of this magazine added "from Hollywood" after the word "Screenland", but at some time later, the title changed back to simply "Screenland". Also note that in 1929, the magazine added "DEVOTED TO SILENT AND TALKING PICTURES" to its cover, but dropped it once all movies were in sound. Also note that at some point in the 1950s, the magazine started adding coverage of TV stars as well, and they added a "plus TV-LAND" underneath the title.
