Somerset Maugham"; about an iceman who falls in love with one of his clients, but only with her voice, because he hears her as she calls to him; her family becomes rich and they move to California, and he follows, and he impersonates an archduke in order to be near her, and everything works out in the end) starring Robert Warwick (in the title role as Jack Straw), Carroll McComas, Charles Ogle, Irene Sullivan, and Monte du Mont. Note that most of W. Somerset Maugham's stories are extremely depressing, but this was a rare case of his going for screwball comedy! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: very good to fine.
