He was one of the most popular leading men from the mid-1940s through the 1960s, and he transitioned to older roles in his later years and appeared in a number of memorable movies. Some of his movies include: To Kill A Mockingbird (winner of the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Cape Fear, 12 O'Clock High (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Roman Holiday, The Guns of Navarone, The Omen, The Boys from Brazil, Gentleman's Agreement (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), The Yearling (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), The Keys of the Kingdom (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), and scores of others! He passed away in 2003 at the age of 87. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Gregory Peck! About the Collection this Item Comes From Note that this item (and 37 others we are auctioning this week, each in its own auction) was consigned to us by a man who was a major movie memorabilia dealer from the 1980s on. During that time, he would regularly purchase collections of movie memorabilia from both dealers and collectors, and in some of those collections he purchased autographed items, and over the years he did not re-sell any of the autographed items. Now he has gathered up together all of his autographed items and consigned them to us. So all of these 38 autographed items we are auctioning were purchased by this dealer from longtime dealers and collectors, and we feel it is quite likely that the autograph on this item is authentic!
