Date Sold 4/18/2021 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 9 Amos 'n' Andy items (ranging in size from 5 1/2" x 8" to 10" x 11 1/2"). Amos 'n' Andy, the famous 1928-1955 comedy radio show (about two African American best friends and their families), starring Charles Correll (as "Andy") and Freeman F. Gosden (as "Amos"). Note that in 1930, there was a movie based on the radio show, with Correll and Gosden playing the lead roles in blackface. In 1943, a TV show version was added and it ran until 1955 (when both the TV and the radio show ended), and of course, being on TV, black actors played the parts. Note that the items in this lot are from the 1930s to the 1970s. We do not provide a list of these items, but there are images of all of them.
