An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Victoria the Great, the 1937 Herbert Wilcox historical biographical romantic British Royal Family melodrama (about Queen Victoria, from her 1837 Coronation to her Jubilee celebration 60 years later; a VERY loose adaptation of the actual historical events, and the producers of the movie chose to have beautiful Anna Neagle play Victoria, when she actually was quite plain looking!) starring Anna Neagle (in the title role as Queen Victoria), Anton Walbrook (as Prince Albert), H.B. Warner, Walter Rilla, and Mary Morris NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have previously auctioned two examples of this one-sheet, and only one in the last 23 years! Condition: good to very good. The poster has a few tack holes around the edges and some folds and one is repaired with conservation tape from the back to the right of the art of Neagle and on is also repaired with conservation tape from the back at lower right. There is discoloration at lower center (see our image). However, this is the kind of poster that responds really well to restoration. It is likely that many or most of the stains can be removed chemically, and after proper restoration the poster will display well! Learn More about condition grades
