A 1948 Re-Release Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 28" x 41" [71 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

Lucky Ghost, the 1942 William X. Crowley black African American gambling horror comedy thriller ("You Can Bet Your Bottom Dollar It's Thrilling - Exciting - Funny!"; "Thrills! Chills! A Thriller-Diller laff sensation!"; "With an All Star Colored Cast!") starring Mantan Moreland, F.E. Miller (Flourney E. Miller), Florence O'Brien, Monty Hawley, and Maceo Bruce Scheffield. Note that Flourney Miller was a major figure in black Broadway musical history, performing and writing with his partner Aubrey Lyles. After Lyles passed away in 1933, Miller appeared in a number of all-black movies in the 1930s and 1940s.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that Toddy Pictures acquired the rights to this 1941 Dixie Nat'l Film Exchange movie, and re-released it in 1948. Because the Toddy Pictures posters are not marked as being a re-issue in any way, they are often mistakenly sold as originals, but they are in fact from the 1948 re-release!

Condition: good to very good. There are a few areas of staining along portions of the vertical foldline (see our image) and some of that staining has caused paper loss in those areas (see our image).
