An exquisite beauty of early silents, she married King Vidor in 1915, when he was a cameraman, and she subsequently became a major star, and he a major director; they divorced in 1924, and she married violinist Jascha Heifetz in 1928, which was when she appeared in a single talkie, "Chinatown Nights", and that experience caused her to retire, and become a wife and mother! Some of her movies include: The Marriage Circle, The Patriot, and The Jack-Knife Man. She passed away in 1977 at the age of 82. Important Added Info: This album page has been personally autographed (signed) by Florence Vidor! Our consignor is a longtime dealer who acquired this signed item among many other purchases in his inventory, and he does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic. It is matted together with a REPRODUCTION photo, and the entire display is ready to frame and hang on the wall! As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased (although we prefer they do any "authenticating" while the auction is "live" and before they place a bid) and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes.
