It was founded by Nebraska magician William Morton who had his first professional magic performance in 1935. He worked throughout the West as a solo act until 1944, when he married Pauline Smith, who became his assistant and business manager. In 1948, they started a summer tour, combining circus and magic themes in their own portable tent theater. The show featured audience participation and illusions such as Sawing a Woman in Half, Spirit Cabinet, Floating Lady, Demon of Doom, The Caliph's Garden, Guillotine, Doll House, Sword Cabinet, Wonder Screen, and the Canvas Covered Box If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded. It had a thin strip of paper loss in the right of the bottom border, extending into the yellow background. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Learn More about condition grades
