An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Herald (measures 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" [9 x 14 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More) The Eagle, the 1918 Elmer Clifton silent cowboy western crime action thriller ("Elmer Clifton's wonderful dramatic production staged in the Rockies"; based on the story by Ethel Hill; about a masked outlaw who has a wonderful costume made of real eagle feathers) starring Monroe Salisbury (in the title role as John Gregory, The Eagle), Edna Earle, Ward King, and Alfred Allen. Note that this was a variation on the classic Zorro story, with Monroe Salisbury playing a mild mannered man by day and the masked "Eagle" at night! Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
