Date Sold 3/19/2009 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 2 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) La Piccola Mamma (literally translates to "Little Mother"), the 1932 Italian musical melodrama. Note that this film was created by taking an unknown Italian silent movie (likely from the 1920s), and adding "spoken, musical and singing accompaniment", and it was marketed as an "emotional movie spoken and sung in Italian.". It appears that this film was only released in New York and New Jersey, and this was the only film released by Marconi Film Co. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Important Added Info: Note that this is a hand-colored card. In the days of silent movies prior to the invention of good quality full-color printing, studios would have lobby cards printed in black and white and then amazingly would hire women to hand-color the cards one at a time (apparently labor was very cheap at the time)! So, each card is colored slightly differently, and the coloring is never a perfect match. Condition: good to very good. Note that these lobby cards have no tape whatsoever on the front or back, and they have never had any restoration of any kind! Learn More about condition grades
