An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 10" x 13" [25 x 33 cm]) (Learn More) The Big Cage, the 1933 Wilfred Lucas & Kurt Neumann circus adventure thriller ("Jungle Brutes Bring Terror to The Biggest Show on Earth!"; "A Universal Super Special"; "Story by Clyde Beatty and Edward Anthony"; about a struggling circus that decides to save itself by having an act featuring both lions and tigers in the same cage together, a combination that often had lethal results) starring Clyde Beatty ("The Sensational Dare-Devil"), Anita Page, Andy Devine, Vince Barnett, Mickey Rooney, Wallace Ford, and Raymond Hatton. Note that Universal hired real life circus daredevil Clyde Beatty to star in a movie for them, feeling it would be a surefire hit, and they built the plot around him! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that first release movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned two window cards and three stills from this movie (and NO other first release movie paper of any kind) until we received this scene card! We are also currently auctioning a title card in a separate auction. Note that this lobby card has been trimmed and it now measures 10" x 13" [25 x 33 cm]. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good. All the borders were trimmed off. The card has slightly darkened and there are a few faint smudges and scuffs scattered in the image. Please look at our super-sized images to get a good sense of the exact condition of this card before placing a bid.
