An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Thirty by Forty Movie Poster (30x40; measures 30" x 40" [76 x 102 cm]) (Learn More) Riot on Sunset Strip, the 1967 Arthur Dreifuss AIP Los Angeles California non-conformist anti-establishment teen political thriller ("The most shocking film of our generation!"; "See for yourself their Mod, mad world... without law or license, morals or manners, God or goal!"; "Meet the Hippies... The Teenyboppers with their too-tight capris... And the Pot-Partygoers -- out for a new thrill... A new kick!") starring Aldo Ray, Mimsy Farmer, Michael Evans, Laurie Mock, and Tim Rooney. Note that this movie was based on the Sunset Strip curfew riots (also known as the hippie riots) which took place in 1966 to protest a 10pm curfew law. Celebrities such as Sonny & Cher, Jack Nicholson, and Peter Fonda attended the gathering (the latter two were detained by police), and the event inspired the protest song "For What It's Worth", written by Stephen Stills, and performed by by Buffalo Springfield. Important Added Info: Note that this poster must be sent in a tube that is 32" long or over (which is why it is in this set of auctions). You can tell how long the tube will need to be by adding 2 inches to the shorter dimension of the length or width (so 40x60s need to be sent in a 42 inch long tube, etc). Most of these posters (with the notable exception of paper banners) CAN be combined in the same tube together, with a few exceptions. Bear in mind that a very long tube (42 inches or longer) will cost a lot more to send than a 30" tube, so bear that in mind before bidding on this poster. Condition: good. The poster has slight discoloration scattered in some areas from exposure to moisture. There are a few creases and scuff marks and there are several pieces of tape and a mailing label on back of several inches of the upper edge that crease the poster.
