Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) The Fatal Ring, the 1917 George B. Seitz silent Pathe crime action serial ("A Romantic Serial") starring Pearl White (famous star of the most memorable silent serial, "The Perils of Pauline"), Warner Oland, Earle Foxe, Floyd Buckley, Ruby Hoffman, and Gesare Gravina. Note that Pearl White is of course the most famous female silent serial star, but after many injuries from her roles, she decided that she wanted to quit serials, and she turned to "serious acting", but she became addicted to painkillers, and she retired in 1924 and passed away in 1938, when she was just 49. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This poster has been professionally linenbacked. It now looks great, and most dealers would describe it as "fine (or mint) on linen". We have noted the defects that were restored below (and feel everyone should always do this!). Many collectors would not be aware of the restoration this poster has had unless it was specifically shown to them! Condition: very good. The poster had a very large number of horizontal folds (they are around 1" apart). There are also 2 extra vertical folds. These folds have greatly lessened during the linenbacking process, but they are still visible (much more so on close in. Most of the linenbacked posters we sell were restored by the finest professionals. An expertly linenbacked poster will often appear "mint", as its defects have been made to "vanish". We are the only seller we are aware of who always tries to describe the condition of the poster prior to being linenbacked, so you are fully aware of what restoration was performed.
