eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 7m311 LOT OF 5 FRANK SINATRA LAMINATED INSERTS '40s-70s Come Blow Your Horn, Tony Rome & more! Date Sold 4/27/2014Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 5 laminated inserts of Frank Sinatra, who was a legendary singer of the 1940s, who became a major movie star that same decade, and continued singing and acting for many years. Some of his movie roles included many MGM musicals (some with Gene Kelly), as well as dramatic roles like The Man with the Golden Arm, The Manchurian Candidate, and From Here to Eternity. He, along with his best friends, were known as The Rat Pack, and he was the inspiration for the "Johnny Fontaine" character in the Godfather movies! Note that the items in this lot are from the 1940s to the 1970s. Note that each poster has been laminated! It is quite likely that there is no way to reverse this process. However, I have seen many posters and lobby cards that have been laminated for over 20 years, and the lamination does not hurt the items in any way (and some of the posters were laminated as much as 40 years ago, so it certainly seems that if it were going to damage the item, it would have happened by now!), plus it seems to completely protect them, while allowing them to be easily displayed with no fear of damage. HOWEVER, PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THIS LOT UNLESS YOU WANT TO PURCHASE LAMINATED ITEMS! We do not provide a list of these items, but there are images of all of them. Also, these posters can't be rolled, so they will need to be sent in a large flat package that measures approximately 16" x 38", so bear that cost in mind before placing a bid. Condition: good. The posters had some minor defects and someone had them laminated . The lamination can't be removed, so do not bid on these unless you can accept that they are laminated!
