An Original Vintage Deluxe 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Publicity Still (Learn More) Cab Calloway was a famous black African American jazz musician, bandleader who appeared in some movies from 1930s to the 1990s (and his music was used in several Fleischer Bros. cartoons), including: Minnie the Moocher, Cabin in the Sky, The Blues Brothers, and The Cincinnati Kid. He passed away in 1994 at the age of 86. Important Added Info: Note that the still shows a great candid image of Cab Calloway performing with thirteen black African American men on a stage in front of a microphone. We think this is from the mid 1940s, because we previously sold a non-deluxe still that was similar to this that had a snipe attached that gave the exact date, and this one has "CAB CALLOWAY" stamped on the back, along with "MILLS ARTISTS, Inc." and a New York address. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock. Condition: good to very good.
