Also note that the earlier eight editions of this book were also edited by Leslie Halliwell, and those books were considered the world's leading film references since 1965, when the first edition was published (each subsequent edition was heavily revised and improved). He also published a separate "Halliwell's Film Guide", beginning in 1977. Mr. Halliwell died in 1989, but his books continued to be revised and published by others. This book originally retailed for $42.50! Important Added Info: Note that this is the ninth edition from 1988 in its original dust jacket. We have pictured the front cover, the title page, and the interior page that shows the publishing information, and one or more interior 2-page spreads. Note that on all hardcover books, the buyer must pay the actual cost of shipping (but if you solely buy books, or if you want the books shipped separately, they can be shipped in the U.S. only via "Media Mail", which is much less expensive than Priority Mail; unfortunately, there is no similar service outside the U.S. to Media Mail).
