Due to the movie's huge success, a second version of the poster was printed with a slightly larger title, pink rating box and no copyright date while the first printing had a smaller title, blue rating box, and a 1977 copyright date. Please bid knowing that this Australian daybill poster is from the first release of the movie, and it is from the first printing! Also note that, while this poster was printed in Australia, it was specifically made to be used in New Zealand. This was not an uncommon practice and we have seen many examples. These posters often lack the printed rating which can be found on the Australian version of the poster. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had some tiny dots of paper loss on the folds and some tiny pinholes in the borders. It was used in New Zealand and there is a New Zealand rating stamp at lower right. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
