r593 STRANGE AFFAIR movie title lobby card '44 Allyn Joslyn, Evelyn Keyes

An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More)

Strange Affair, the 1944 Alfred E. Green romantic love triangle mystery crime comedy ("It's the Hit - And - Fun Affair of the year!", "Chuckle while you shudder! Shiver while you laugh!"; "'I have the strangest feeling something is going to happen!'"; "'Brother, it's happening!'") starring Allyn Joslyn, Evelyn Keyes, Marguerite Chapman, Edgar Buchanan, Nina Foch, Shemp Howard, Frank Jenks, and Tonio Selwart. Note that this was apparently intended to be a sequel to "Dangerous Blondes" made the year before with Joslyn and Keyes as a husband and wife detective pair (clearly a low budget ripoff of "The Thin Man"), but probably because that earlier movie did not do well, the names of the lead characters were changed and the movie paper for this movie does not in any way mention the earlier movie with essentially the same characters.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.

Condition: very good. There are a few very faint stains down the left of the card, but otherwise, it is in quite nice condition! Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back of the card!
